Nintendo’s Four Gentlemen: The Disciples of Shigeru Miyamoto

Nintendo’s Four Gentlemen:

One of the most influential and respected figures in the gaming industry is Shigeru Miyamoto, the legendary game designer and producer who works for Nintendo. Miyamoto is widely regarded as the “god of gaming” because he has created some of the most iconic and beloved video game franchises of all time, such as Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Pikmin and more. He is also known for his innovative and imaginative approach to game design, as well as his high standards of quality and polish.

Miyamoto has not only made a huge impact on the gaming industry, but also on the lives and careers of many game developers who have learned from him. Among them, there are four who stand out as his most prominent disciples, who have inherited his skills and philosophy, and who have become leaders and visionaries in their own right. They are known as the “Nintendo’s Four Gentlemen”, and they are:

  • Kensuke Tanabe, the “Little Demon Director”, who has worked on games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario RPG, Metroid Prime and Paper Mario.
  • Katsuya Eguchi, the “Penny Pincher”, who has worked on games such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Animal Crossing, Wii Sports and Splatoon.
  • Koizumi Yoshiaki, the “Efficiency God”, who has worked on games such as Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey.
  • Eiji Aonuma, the “Mastermind”, who has worked on games such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

In this blog post, we will introduce you to these four amazing game developers, and tell you more about their stories, achievements and personalities. You will learn how they have contributed to Nintendo’s success and innovation, and how they have followed or surpassed their master’s footsteps. So stay tuned and get ready to meet Nintendo’s Four Gentlemen.

Tanabe: The Little Demon Director

Kensuke Tanabe, also known as the “Little Demon Director”, is the oldest and the first disciple of Shigeru Miyamoto. He joined Nintendo in 1986, and soon impressed Miyamoto with his ambition to create a game that would surpass the original Super Mario Bros. Under Miyamoto’s guidance, he wrote the script for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and came up with the concept of the Dark World, a parallel dimension that mirrored the Light World.

Tanabe later became an executive producer, and was in charge of overseeing various projects from Nintendo’s second-party studios, such as Intelligent Systems, Rare and Retro Studios. He has worked on games such as Super Mario RPG, Kirby’s Dream Land, Metroid Prime and Paper Mario. He is known for his strict and demanding style of management, which earned him the nickname of the “Little Demon Director”. He often challenges his teams to come up with new and innovative ideas, and is not afraid to scrap or restart a project if it does not meet his expectations.

Tanabe’s special skill is his ability to create immersive and engaging stories and worlds for his games. He has a knack for blending humor, drama and mystery in his narratives, and for creating memorable characters and scenarios. He is also adept at designing complex and rewarding gameplay systems that require strategic thinking and coordination. He has learned from Miyamoto how to balance difficulty and accessibility, and how to use feedback and iteration to polish his games.

One interesting anecdote about Tanabe is that he once had a heated argument with Miyamoto over the design of Super Mario RPG. Tanabe wanted to make the game more like a traditional RPG, with turn-based battles and character customization. Miyamoto wanted to make the game more like a Mario game, with action-based battles and simple mechanics. The two could not agree on a compromise, and ended up making two separate prototypes for the game. Eventually, they decided to merge the best elements of both prototypes into the final game, which became a critical and commercial success.

Katsuya Eguchi: The Penny Pincher

Katsuya Eguchi, also known as the “Penny Pincher”, is the second disciple of Shigeru Miyamoto. He joined Nintendo in 1986, along with Tanabe, but he did not work closely with Miyamoto until he joined the Super Mario Bros. 3 team. There, he learned from Miyamoto how to design fun and varied levels for a platformer game. He also contributed to the creation of some of the most iconic power-ups in the Mario series, such as the Tanooki Suit and the Frog Suit.

Eguchi later became a producer and a manager at Nintendo EAD, where he supervised several projects from different genres and platforms. He has worked on games such as Animal Crossing, Wii Sports, Splatoon and Nintendogs. He is known for his frugal and efficient style of production, which earned him the nickname of the “Penny Pincher”. He always tries to make the most out of limited resources, and to optimize the performance and quality of his games.

Eguchi’s special skill is his ability to create casual and social games that appeal to a wide and diverse audience. He has a talent for finding simple and intuitive ways to interact with games, such as using motion controls or touch screens. He also has a knack for creating charming and lively worlds that reflect the personality and preferences of the players. He has learned from Miyamoto how to make games that are easy to pick up and play, but hard to put down.

One interesting fact about Eguchi is that he was inspired to create Animal Crossing by his own experience of moving from his hometown to Kyoto when he joined Nintendo. He wanted to make a game that would capture the feeling of living in a new place, meeting new friends and creating new memories. He also wanted to make a game that would allow players to communicate and share their experiences with each other, even if they lived far apart.

The original Baldur’s Gate game, released in 1998, was a groundbreaking role-playing game that pioneered many of the mechanics and features still present in modern RPGs. Its success led to the development of a sequel, Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn, which further expanded the game’s universe and introduced new characters and storylines.

Baldur’s Gate 3 release date and platforms

Now that you’re familiar with the series, you’re probably wondering when you can get your hands on Baldur’s Gate 3. The game is set to be released on October 6, 2022, and will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, Mac, and Google Stadia. The game begins with character creation, where you’ll have the opportunity to customize your protagonist to your liking. Choose from a variety of races, classes, and backgrounds to create a character that suits your playstyle and role-playing preferences.

Exploring the world of Baldur’s Gate 3

As you progress through the game, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a variety of environments, from sprawling cities to treacherous dungeons. Take your time to immerse yourself in the rich lore of the Forgotten Realms, interact with colorful characters, and uncover hidden quests and treasures.

Character creation and customization in Baldur’s Gate 3

Character creation is a crucial step in Baldur’s Gate 3, as it determines your protagonist’s abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. The game offers a wide range of options for customizing your character, allowing you to tailor their appearance, skills, and even personality traits. Experiment with different combinations to find a character that aligns with your preferred playstyle and narrative choices.

Mastering combat in Baldur’s Gate 3

Combat in Baldur’s Gate 3 is challenging and requires a strategic approach. Whether you prefer melee combat, ranged attacks, or magic spells, understanding the intricacies of combat is essential for success. Pay attention to the positioning of your characters, exploit enemy weaknesses, and make use of the environment to gain an advantage. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different strategies and abilities to find what works best for you.

Tips and tricks for progressing through the game

To make your journey through Baldur’s Gate 3 smoother, here are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind. First, be sure to carefully manage your inventory and resources, as they can make a significant difference in combat encounters. Additionally, take the time to thoroughly explore each area, as hidden treasures and quests often await those who venture off the beaten path. Finally, don’t be afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Baldur’s Gate 3 is all about experimentation and discovery, so embrace the unexpected and let the game surprise you.

Character Creation and Customization

Baldur’s Gate 3 has 12 classes, 16 races, and 46 subraces to choose from. The options are overwhelming, and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. You can customize your character’s appearance, background, personality, and skills. You can also recruit companions who have their own stories, motivations, and opinions. You can interact with them, romance them, or betray them. The choice is yours.

Freedom and Flexibility

But what makes this world so alive? I think the main reason is the freedom and flexibility that the game offers. You can approach any situation in multiple ways, depending on your character’s attributes, abilities, and choices. The NPCs will react differently to you based on your race, class, origin, or actions. You can make friends or enemies with different factions, influence the outcome of events, or change the course of history.

Example 1: How to Get a Soul Coin

I won’t talk about the different combinations of equipment or the diversity of combat that results from multiclassing in this video. Because those are not easy to explain. I want to let more people who have not played this game or just learned about it know the charm of Baldur’s Gate 3’s world.

You have saved an NPC’s life. He has a very valuable coin on him. You really want this coin. How can you get it? Here are some options:

  • You can persuade him to give you the coin. He will be moved by your words and hand over the coin to you.
  • You can kill him and take the coin from his body.
  • You can steal the coin from him when he is not looking.

Baldur’s Gate 3 adds a lot of details to make this world more vivid. For example, if you are a paladin, because all evil things should be kept by you, the NPC will give you the coin willingly after knowing your class. You don’t need to persuade him, which greatly reduces the difficulty.

Or if you steal the coin while talking to him, and then ask him for the coin again, he will be shocked after checking his bag. He lost the coin and doesn’t know that you stole it.

Example 2: How to Cross a Lake by Boat

These are some simple examples that are not even worthy of being called side quests in this game. Next, I will talk about another scenario in the game, hoping that you can understand more deeply how free and lively Baldur’s Gate 3 is.

You want to cross a lake by boat. There is a boat ahead. You walk to the beach and find out that this is duergar territory. They think you have invaded their territory and ask you to surrender. You have many options:

  • You can attack them directly and make them pay for their arrogance.
  • You can persuade them to calm down and negotiate with them.
  • You can sneak onto the boat while they are not paying attention.

But there are more options in Baldur’s Gate 3. The following may contain spoilers, so please watch carefully.

These bad guys are working for the Absolute, who is probably the most obvious villain in the game. Their followers are evil and ruthless. But if you have branded yourself with the Absolute mark in a previous goblin camp, you can show them your mark during the conversation. The bad guys will not ask too many questions and let you walk freely in their territory.

If you didn’t choose to brand yourself at that time, you will never know that you can win their trust so easily. But until the end of the game, you will also never know what kind of trouble this mark will bring you in the future.

We are now close to the boat, but the boat still belongs to the bad guys. Even if we can walk freely in their territory, touching their belongings is still a taboo. They will not let us go. But the bad guy leader says that if you bring back the boots that their captain lost, he will let you take the boat to report the lost boots to the captain.

You want to cross the lake by boat. You have a gnome with you. How can you choose?

  • You can kill these bad guys and take the boat away. No one can catch up with you.
  • You can sneak onto the boat while the duergar are not looking. But be careful. If you come back by boat, they will attack you when they find out that you are the thief.
  • You can find the gnome and get the boots back. Then you can cross the lake openly.

Example 3: How to Get the Boots

After some exploration, we find the gnome. He is paralyzed by the bad guys’ poison. How can I get the boots?

  • You can cure the poison and help him out. He will give you the boots as a reward.
  • You can use various methods to intimidate or deceive him. He will give you the boots out of fear or confusion.
  • You can kill him and take the boots from his corpse.

These are some of the ways to get the boots. Baldur’s Gate 3 adds a lot of details to make this world more vivid. For example, if you are a cleric, you can use your healing spells or remove poison spells to cure him. Or if you are a warlock, you can use your eldritch blast to threaten him.

Baldur’s Gate 3 community and resources

As with any popular game, the Baldur’s Gate 3 community is thriving with passionate players eager to share their knowledge and experiences. Joining online forums, such as the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, can provide a wealth of information, tips, and strategies. Additionally, there are numerous resources available, such as video guides and walkthroughs, that can help you navigate the game’s challenges and make the most out of your adventure.

Conclusion

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that offers endless possibilities and an immersive experience like no other. By following the tips and strategies outlined in this comprehensive guide, you’ll be well on your way to mastering the game and embarking on an unforgettable journey through the Forgotten Realms. So gather your party, sharpen your blades, and prepare for an epic adventure in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Level Up Fast in Battlebit Remastered with These Practical Tips and Tricks: Experience from an 84-Hour Player.

Level Up Fast in Battlebit Remastered with These Practical Tips and Tricks

Are you also a loyal player of Battlebit Remastered? Do you also want to improve your level and combat power in this game? If so, then this blog is for you. Here, I will share some practical tactics and tricks that I learned from playing this game. I hope they can help you. First, let me report my stats: as of writing this blog, I have played 84 hours, reached level 127, got a KD of just over 5, and scored 1,637 points per minute.

The Basics: Score More, Run Less

The game reduced the experience required for leveling up shortly after its launch. The current experience is increased by 1,000 per level. For example, you need 100,001 experience to go from level 100 to 101. And this experience is actually the score that you get in the game. So if you want to level up fast, you have to score as much as possible and reduce the ineffective running time.

To reduce the ineffective running time, the most basic thing is that you need a reliable squad. This is also the highest requirement for this game: you need some friends to play with. First of all, this is not only because playing with friends can improve communication and coordination, but more importantly, the game’s underlying logic gives a single player a low limit of combat power. You can see that the game’s healing and bandaging speed, the amount of spare ammunition and the reloading speed of a single player directly limit the ceiling of individual combat. But when multiple people work together, having an extra medic or a support in the squad can greatly increase the continuous combat power. So this is a game that makes you feel bad when you play alone, but very happy when you play with friends. It always encourages you to team up.

Secondly, a good squad will give you a better chance of revival. Here are two examples:

  • For example, I recently encountered a human radio squad in Europe server. It was a sniper who stayed behind the squad by more than 100 meters and acted as a spawn point for his teammates.

  • The rule is that when you play solo, you always encounter situations where the front is tense and there are many kills, but there are always some sniper squads at home watching the show with flashlights. If you spawn on these squads, you can imagine how far you have to run to join the battle.

So every time someone asks me how to level up fast in Battlebit, I will tell them to improve efficiency. If you want to get kills, then you have to choose an area where both sides are evenly matched. Obviously such an area will provide you with endless opportunities.

Use Vehicles Wisely: Support Your Teammates and Destroy Your Enemies

Let’s start with vehicles. To be honest, my 5 KD is actually achieved by using vehicles in Conquest mode. In pure infantry mode, I probably have only 3 KD or so. Vehicle fishing is something that Battlefield players should be familiar with. But Battlebit’s vehicles are different from Battlefield’s vehicles. The current vehicles in Battlebit are all positioned as support units. Even tanks can be blown up by three or four tandem rockets. Wheeled armored vehicles can be sent back to the garage by two shots. And all vehicles only have main view mode. So staying away from infantry and being careful when entering defensive areas is a very common and practical rule.

In summary, it is to use the vehicle’s mobility and long-range firepower advantages and avoid its disadvantages. Based on this idea, we can find some opportunities to output from the side of the enemy’s main force after we are familiar with the terrain. For example:

  • Like this clip, even the TV-guided machine gun on the Humvee can quickly harvest points.

  • This efficiency is definitely not achievable by using guns alone.

Of course, we can’t just focus on getting kills when using vehicles. Timely using the main gun to destroy the enemy’s cover and open up the attack channel for teammates is always the first priority.

Next is if you want to score with vehicles or gain an advantage on the scene, then simply put it is to get the corresponding vehicles first.

  • For example, TV-guided machine gun box is much better than shield machine gun box, so it refreshes very little on the map. On some maps, this car only refreshes outside of home base and does not refresh at spawn points. On some maps, there is only one car per side.

  • For example, on many maps tank points refresh under certain conditions. The most typical one is Conquest mode on Bridge map. The tank refreshes in the garage at F point. So if you want to not get beaten, you must grab F point as soon as possible at the beginning.

  • For example, on this map, only after your teammates occupy C point, the tank will refresh in the base at home. And like the map with a building in the middle and snow and ice on the ground, the tank refreshes at A point and F point.

Only by mastering these vehicle refresh rules can you get the vehicles and then play their due role.

Yes, every time I see a random teammate driving a tank recklessly, I get a headache.

Choose Your Class Smartly: Use Your Skills and Gadgets to Score

Let’s talk about the scoring ideas of these common classes. Here we actually need to figure out what we do in the game and how much points we get. Take the most common kill as a reference, each kill is 200 points. For example, I can get dozens of kills per game, or even dozens of KDs, then pure fishing can guarantee scoring efficiency. So I don’t really feel that leveling up is slow. But we also know that for many players, their shooting skills are not that good, their awareness is not that good, and most importantly, they don’t have some teammates to help. Then it becomes very difficult to score by pure shooting.

The vehicle fishing mentioned earlier can also effectively avoid these pain points. Secondly, for many classes, their class scoring efficiency is much higher than shooting. Take a simple example:

  • Reviving teammates is 400 points each time.

  • Supplying teammates with medical kits also has a considerable score income.

  • The support’s oil gun is also the same.

For example, on Bridge Heat map, both sides of the bridge are almost the most intense places for confrontation. There will be a lot of snipers on both sides sniping here, and it is easy to stalemate here. At this time, using medic to save people will score faster than shooting.

Speaking of snipers, I don’t really like playing snipers in this game. I personally feel that before unlocking M200 at level 100, both bolt-action rifles are very uncomfortable to use, not as good as semi-automatic rifles. But when it comes to sniper’s scoring strategy, we can’t get around C4 drone.

The advantage of this trick is that it can not only blow up people, but also blow up vehicles. But if you play C4 drone alone, you need to stop the drone in front of the enemy and then detonate it. C4 is easily destroyed by the enemy. So just use mines to hit the enemy directly.

  • Anti-infantry mines have a larger blast range than C4.

  • If you have an engineer to help put anti-vehicle mines on it, then you can directly counter vehicles.

Don’t forget that teammates spawning on you also have points. 200 points per time is the same as killing. How wonderful!

Speaking of anti-vehicle, actually driving a car to steal the first point of the enemy’s home base at the beginning and then squatting there to block vehicles is also a very efficient method.

  • Because destroying a vehicle has 1,800 points, equivalent to 9 kills.

  • Plus killing people on the car, you can easily get more than 10 kills worth of points.

This deal is very cost-effective. And this trick is not just about scoring. You blow up the enemy’s home base and block their vehicles, which means cutting off their heavy firepower.

  • Without tanks and wheeled vehicles, they can’t break buildings on some maps like Battlefield.

  • They have to go back and save their home base separately.

As long as your teammates don’t fish, this game is basically stable.

And you can also consider how to play according to your squad’s situation.

  • If you are alone, you can let go of tanks and hit jeeps with one shot.

  • If you have two or three teammates, then tanks are almost instant kills.

Oh yes, there is also a score for vehicles called transport score. As the name suggests, so for players who can fly helicopters, acting as a battlefield Uber driver and sending people back and forth is also a good score.

Is Dave The Diver Worth the Price? A Review of the Underwater Adventure Game

Introduction to Dave The Diver Experience

Dave The Diver is a game that combines fishing, cooking, farming, and business simulation in a unique and immersive way. The game is currently on sale for ‎$19.99 on Steam. Is it worth buying? To my surprise, I found that this game exceeded my expectations and delivered a lot of value for its price. In this blog post, I will share with you my experience and opinion of this game from two aspects: gameplay and details.

What sets Dave The Diver apart?

One of the things that sets Dave The Diver apart from other games in the market is its unique gameplay mechanics. Unlike many other games that simply require you to complete a series of mundane tasks, Dave The Diver offers a truly immersive experience. The game allows you to explore the depths of the ocean, encountering various marine creatures and uncovering hidden treasures. The attention to detail in the game is truly remarkable, with each underwater environment beautifully designed and rendered.

Another aspect that sets Dave The Diver apart is its storyline. The game follows the journey of Dave, a skilled diver who embarks on a mission to uncover the secrets of an ancient underwater civilization. As you progress through the game, you will unravel the mysteries of the deep sea and discover the truth behind the lost civilization. The storyline is engaging and keeps you hooked from beginning to end, making it a truly worthwhile gaming experience.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Dave The Diver consists of four main elements: fishing, cooking, farming, and business simulation. At first, I thought that fishing was the main focus of the game, since the game is called Dave The Diver after all. However, after playing for a while, I realized that the other three elements were equally fun and engaging.

The game uses a time management system, where each day is divided into four time slots. During the day, you can dive twice to catch fish. At night, you can run your sushi restaurant twice. As the game progresses, you can also dive at night to catch rare fish species, but this will reduce your business hours and income. Therefore, you have to balance between fishing and making money.

The Fishing

The fishing aspect of the game is very rich and diverse. The types of fish you can catch depend on various factors such as depth, weather, location, etc. The fishing methods are also different. You can kill the fish first and then catch them, but they will not be fresh and only have one-star quality. You can use a harpoon to catch the fish alive, but they will have two-star quality. The freshest fish are those that you catch with anesthesia or nets, which have three-star quality. There are also some large fish that are hard to catch alive unless you have high-tech equipment. Some fish will attack you actively. It is worth mentioning that underwater, your character only has an oxygen meter, which also represents your health and stamina. Oxygen will deplete naturally and faster when you sprint or get attacked. When oxygen runs out, your diving session will end forcibly and you can only choose one item to take back. Of course, you can also choose to end the session early and take all your items back.

The fish you catch will be made into dishes and sold in your sushi restaurant. But this is not a simple process of exchanging goods for money. After fishing, you have to change into casual clothes and design your menu for the night. Then you have to serve tea, dishes, clean tables, grind wasabi for your customers.  You can recruit staff through three channels: flyers, TV, and internet. The more expensive the channel, the more likely you are to recruit rare staff. You can train your staff according to their attributes and skills and assign them to different positions. You can also send them to find ingredients. You can also decorate and upgrade your restaurant to attract fans. You can open your phone’s Cookstar app and see what your fans ate today and what their reviews are. You can also ask professionals to evaluate your restaurant’s level on this app. You can also develop new dishes that sell higher and have better reputation than simple sushi or sashimi. But high-end dishes sometimes have sudden demand spikes, so you have to keep an eye on your financial report every night. When your business reaches a certain level, you can even open branches.

The Business System

Underwater, this is a pure adventure fishing game. But at night, this is a realistic business simulation game. The gameplay and content are absolutely not sloppy. But when I thought this was a business simulation game, it turned into a farming game. As the game progresses, you will unlock ponds and fields. When fishing, you have a chance to get corresponding fish eggs that you can hatch in ponds. When there are two fish of the same species in a pond, they will start breeding. If the fish density is too high, breeding will stop. Then you have to sell some fish or send them directly to the kitchen for slaughter. Of course, you can also expand the pond area to reduce density. The fields can only grow rice at first. All you have to do is weed occasionally. So I didn’t expect much from this module until one day the old man who manages the farm called me mysteriously to find him.

I went over and saw that I didn’t enter the wrong game. Then this game became a farming game. You need to sow seeds, water them, fertilize them, weed them. You can also raise chickens and collect eggs. Of course, the farm’s crops are all things that can’t be found in the sea, so you can make unique dishes. Managing ponds and fields does not consume time slots, so you can treat these gameplay as auxiliary to your business. But when these gameplay were designed, they were definitely not perfunctory. Each gameplay is worth playing and can withstand playing.

Details:

Dave’s phone

One of the most impressive aspects of Diver Dave is the attention to detail. The game is full of surprises and features that make it more realistic and immersive. For example, when I started the game, I spent 10 minutes playing with Dave’s phone, which is the most realistic phone I’ve ever seen in a game. Every app on the phone has a function and a purpose, such as equipment upgrades, game guide, task list, resource collection, crop monitoring, music player, and even a mini-game where you can raise a cyberpunk electronic fish. This phone integrates all the functions that should be in the game menu, but in a much cooler and cleaner way.

Fishing and cooking mechanics

Another example of the amazing details in the game is the fishing and cooking mechanics. Fishing requires different types of harpoons that can be upgraded through underwater treasure chests. Each harpoon has a different QTE (quick time event) when catching fish. Some fish are more difficult to catch alive than others, and some will attack you. You also have to manage your oxygen level, which affects your health and stamina. The fish you catch can be made into dishes and sold in your sushi restaurant, but you also have to design your menu, serve your customers, hire and train your staff, decorate and upgrade your restaurant, develop new dishes, and monitor your financial report. You can also use other tools such as cutting machines and watering machines, which have their own interactive mini-games. Even in cooking competitions, you have to play a cooking mini-game yourself, which varies depending on the dish.

Cutscenes and plots

The game’s cutscenes are also very interesting and well-made. They reflect the personality and style of each character. For example, foodies will often come to your restaurant to taste your dishes, and each one has a distinctive animation. When you develop new dishes or strengthen existing ones, there are also different cutscenes that show the process. The most surprising cutscene for me was when I triggered a plot where the gunsmith character, who is an otaku, dreamed of cheering for his idol at a concert. The scene turned into a shadow game where I had to use two joysticks to simulate glow sticks and swing them with the rhythm. It was very immersive and fun! There are many more details in the game that surprised me, but some of them are only fleeting. For example, the glue gun and the shadow game in the dream, and the cooking mini-game in the cooking competition are only played once in the plot. They are not even included in the mini-game later. These content can be replaced by CG or simply skipped, but they show how much effort and creativity the developers put into this game. The game gives me the feeling that there is no genius creative design, but just doing everything that can be done well and pulling all the details to the max. This seriousness is like Bancho, the chef in the game, who treats his dishes with a near-religious seriousness.

Evaluating the value of Dave The Diver Experience

When determining the value of the Dave The Diver experience, it is important to consider several factors. Firstly, the gameplay itself is incredibly immersive and enjoyable. The stunning graphics, intuitive controls, and engaging storyline make for a truly captivating experience. Additionally, the game offers a wide variety of content, from different diving locations to unique challenges and quests. This ensures that players will always have something new and exciting to explore. Considering the high quality of the game and the hours of entertainment it provides, the value of the Dave The Diver experience is undeniable.

Factors to consider when determining worth

While the value of the Dave The Diver experience is clear, it is important to consider personal preferences and gaming habits when determining its worth. Some players may prefer fast-paced action games, while others may enjoy more relaxed and immersive experiences. It is also worth noting that the game requires an internet connection to play, which may not be suitable for players who prefer offline gaming. Additionally, the in-game purchases may not be appealing to players who do not wish to spend additional money on a free-to-play game. Considering these factors will ensure that you make an informed decision about whether or not Dave The Diver is worth your time and money.

Customer reviews and testimonials

To get a better understanding of the value of the Dave The Diver experience, it is helpful to look at customer reviews and testimonials. Many players have praised the game for its stunning visuals, engaging gameplay, and captivating storyline. Players have also noted the high replayability of the game, as there are always new challenges and discoveries to be made. Overall, the feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, further confirming the worth of the Dave The Diver experience.

Comparing Dave The Diver with other diving experiences

If you are a fan of diving games, you may be wondering how Dave The Diver compares to other similar experiences. While there are certainly other diving games on the market, Dave The Diver stands out for its high-quality graphics, immersive gameplay, and captivating storyline. Many other diving games focus solely on the exploration aspect, whereas Dave The Diver offers a more well-rounded experience with its engaging storyline and challenging quests. If you are looking for a diving game that offers both beauty and substance, Dave The Diver is definitely worth considering.

Making an informed decision

Now that we have explored the various aspects of the Dave The Diver experience, it is time to make an informed decision. If you are a fan of immersive gameplay, stunning graphics, and captivating storylines, Dave The Diver is a game that you should definitely check out. The combination of exploration, adventure, and mystery make for a truly worthwhile gaming experience. Additionally, the game’s pricing structure allows for a flexible gaming experience, with the option to make in-game purchases if desired. With overwhelmingly positive customer reviews and testimonials, Dave The Diver is a game that is sure to keep you entertained for hours on end.

Conclusion

To sum up, after playing for a while, the only drawback of this game for me is that there are some unnecessary cutscenes that cannot be skipped. I want to play a little bit anxiously. But in front of such a exquisite game, waiting for 2 seconds is also worth it. Moreover, this game has just been released officially. I guess it will be improved in subsequent updates. Finally, I would like to mention that this game currently only has one DLC, which is a speedboat skin and music pack. I also look forward to more DLC from the official side so that I can experience Bancho’s attitude towards life again.

How to Build a Stellar Character in Starfield: A Detailed Guide on Talent Points

How to Build a Stellar Character in Starfield: A Detailed Guide on Talent Points

Starfield is a sci-fi sandbox game that lets you explore the galaxy, build your own spaceship, and customize your character. One of the most important aspects of character customization is the talent system, which allows you to enhance your skills and abilities in various fields. In this guide, I will share with you my personal experience and recommendations on how to allocate your talent points in Starfield, based on my third playthrough of the game. Of course, there is no one definitive way to build your character, and different playstyles may require different choices. Therefore, feel free to disagree with me and experiment with your own preferences.

Basic Talents

Let’s start with the first layer of basic talents. These are the talents that you can unlock from the beginning of the game, and they have a significant impact on your gameplay. Here is my conclusion and analysis, ranked by priority: Security, Jetpack, Target Control System, Persuasion, Stealing, Strength, Ballistics, Stealth, Driving.

First of all, you need to invest in the Technical category, specifically Security and Jetpack. Security is the ability to unlock chests, safes, doors, computers, and other devices. There are many things that you need to unlock in the game, and some of them may contain valuable rewards or shortcuts. Besides, some quests and puzzles can also be solved by unlocking certain devices. The lockpick consumption is very low in this game, and you only need one lockpick per attempt. However, every time you choose the wrong pattern and need to withdraw, you will consume one lockpick as well. Therefore, make sure to replenish your lockpicks whenever you encounter a merchant.

Jetpack unlocks the ability to use jet propulsion after jumping. This allows you to reach some high places and travel faster. For example, in the Red Carp Race quest, you can drink a potion that increases your speed and then bounce all the way to the finish line. If you level up this talent enough, you can also achieve unlimited flight on some low-gravity planets. This is also very useful in small-scale combat situations, as you can switch your ammo while flying in the air.

Next is the Target Control System talent, which unlocks the aiming ability for your spaceship. When you engage in space combat, you can wait until the target is locked and then press R to enter bullet time mode. This allows you to precisely attack the enemy’s specific parts. As long as you destroy their engine, you can approach them and press R again to board their ship. You can then loot their resources or even take their ship for yourself. This is a must-have skill for space combat.

The remaining Driving skill is not very useful in the early stages of the game. It is essentially a spaceship license that allows you to pilot different classes of ships. However, if you are interested in building and upgrading your own spaceship, you need to unlock this skill as soon as possible to complete the challenges. Otherwise, you will only be able to watch the good ships but not drive them. However, I suggest that you focus on upgrading your weapon system first before investing in this skill.

Moving on to the Science category, most of the skills here are related to resource extraction and crafting. I didn’t start exploring these mechanisms until my third playthrough of the game, so they are not very helpful for quests in the early stages of the game. You can skip them for now unless you are very interested in base building and planet resource exploration. The only skill that you need to invest in is Medical Science, which enhances your healing ability. This is very important for survival in hostile environments.

Astrodynamics seems like a useful skill that increases your warp range. However, most of the quests in the early stages of the game are not that far away from each other. Even if you need to warp over long distances occasionally, you can always find some intermediate planets to stop by along the way. Besides, one of your early companions Sara has this skill by default, so you can just assign her as a crew member on your ship.

Then we have Combat Talents. Unless you have a specific preference for a certain combat style, there is no need to invest too much in these skills either. I often run out of ammo for my firearms, so I usually carry six or seven different types of guns with me. I switch them whenever I run out of ammo for one type. Therefore, it is very difficult for me to specialize in one type of firearm. The only skill that I invested in was Ballistics Hole, which increases the damage of solid projectiles. This is very useful because most of the weapons that you can find in the game are solid projectile weapons, so they can all benefit from this skill.

The Social category has Persuasion, which can save you a lot of trouble in some quests. If you want to avoid running errands or fighting, this is a must-have skill. However, if you prefer to fight your way through everything, you can skip this skill as well. Stealing is not very necessary either, as there is nothing that you must steal to make things easier. You can invest in this skill if you like, but it is not a priority.

The Physical category has Strength, which increases your carrying capacity. This is a very important skill, especially if you don’t want to use console commands to change your weight limit. You will find a lot of items and resources in the game, and you don’t want to miss any of them because of your limited inventory space. Endurance is another essential skill that increases your stamina limit. You don’t have any vehicles in this game, so you have to run everywhere. Therefore, you need to have enough stamina to move around quickly and efficiently. However, be careful with the upgrade condition for this skill, which requires you to deplete all your available oxygen. This means that you have to run out of both the blue and red bars on your oxygen meter.

Advanced Talents

These are the talents that you can unlock after leveling up your basic talents. These are more specific and tailored to different playstyles, so I will not give a comprehensive recommendation for them. Instead, I will just mention a few of the most powerful ones that I found. You can decide for yourself which ones suit your preferences best.

In the Technical category, we have Shield System and New Construction. These are both very useful for dealing with some difficult space station battles later in the game. You need to have a strong shield to withstand the high firepower of the enemies, and you also need to repair your ship quickly and reduce the damage taken. These are essential skills for high-pressure combat situations.

New Construction is also the core skill for building and upgrading your own spaceship. You can unlock advanced components with this skill and customize your ship according to your needs. However, this is more of a side activity that is not directly related to the main quests.

In the Science category, all the skills are related to gathering and researching resources. This is more of a freeform playstyle that is outside of the main questline. The most useful skill here is Weapon Engineering, which allows you to modify your weapons. As I mentioned before, I often run out of ammo in this game, so I need to increase my damage output to reduce my ammo consumption. With Weapon Engineering, I can customize my weapons according to my preferences and enhance their performance.

The rest of the skills depend on whether you like less combat and more resource collection. You can choose them according to your own playstyle.

In the Combat category, again, it depends on your preferred weapon type and combat style. The only skills that I recommend are Explosives and Fast Reload. Explosives shows you the trajectory of your grenades and increases the damage of explosive weapons. This is very helpful for using heavy weapons like grenade launchers, which are very effective against groups of enemies or armored targets.

Fast Reload reduces the reload time of your weapons, which is very important for maintaining a high fire rate and avoiding being overwhelmed by enemies. This skill works well with any type of weapon and can make a big difference in combat situations.

In the Social category, you can choose between Negotiation and Threaten, depending on whether you want to be more diplomatic or aggressive in your interactions with other characters. Lone Wolf is a good choice for solo players who don’t want to rely on companions. Fencing is a good choice for melee players who want to increase their damage output and defense.

Leadership and Management are skills that enhance your crew members’ abilities and loyalty. However, these are not very necessary unless you really care about your crew members’ performance and happiness.

Manipulation is a skill that unlocks some special options in certain quests involving the Dragon God Corporation faction. However, you can also get this skill for free as a reward from one of their quests.

Finally, in the Physical category, Gymnastics is surprisingly useful. It reduces the fall damage that you take and increases your movement speed on low-gravity planets. This can make traveling much easier and faster.

If you want to become a fist fighter, you need to invest in Boxing, Martial Arts, Bone Breaking, and all the related skills along that line. These skills will increase your unarmed damage and give you some special moves that can stun or cripple your enemies.

Stealth and Invisibility are skills that depend on whether you like stealth gameplay or not. These skills are very hard to train and have a poor experience in the early stages of the game. Therefore, I suggest that you only invest in them if you really enjoy stealth gameplay.

That’s all for my guide on how to build a stellar character in Starfield. I hope you found it helpful and interesting. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.

What Happens When a Level 9 Technological Civilization Meets a Legendary Cultivation Civilization?

Have you ever wondered what would happen if two different civilizations with vastly different levels of technology and culture met each other? Would they be able to communicate, cooperate, or even coexist? Or would they inevitably clash, compete, or even destroy each other?

In this article, I will explore this fascinating scenario by using a fictional example from a popular Chinese web novel.

The novel is called “When the Star Destroyer Meets the Golden Core”, and it tells the story of a starship captain from a highly advanced technological civilization who accidentally travels to a mysterious planet where a cultivation civilization exists.

What is a Technological Civilization?

A technological civilization is a civilization that uses science and technology to understand and manipulate the natural world.

A technological civilization usually has a high degree of industrialization, urbanization, and globalization.

A technological civilization also has access to various forms of energy, information, and transportation.

One way to measure the level of a technological civilization is by using the Kardashev scale. The Kardashev scale is a hypothetical framework that classifies civilizations based on their energy consumption.

According to the Kardashev scale, there are three types of technological civilizations:

  • Type I: A civilization that can harness all the energy available on its home planet.
  • Type II: A civilization that can harness all the energy available from its home star and its planetary system.
  • Type III: A civilization that can harness all the energy available from its home galaxy.

The novel’s protagonist, Han Yu, belongs to a level 9 technological civilization, which is far beyond the Kardashev scale. A level 9 technological civilization can manipulate the fundamental forces of nature, such as gravity, electromagnetism, and nuclear forces. A level 9 technological civilization can also travel across the multiverse, create artificial dimensions, and perform dimensional attacks.

Some of the features of a level 9 technological civilization are:

  • Starships: Starships are massive spacecrafts that can travel faster than light and carry various weapons and equipment. Han Yu’s starship is called the West River Star Destroyer, and it is one of the most powerful starships in the Federation. The West River Star Destroyer has a length of 3.6 kilometers, a width of 1.2 kilometers, and a height of 0.8 kilometers. It can carry up to 10,000 crew members and 100 tanks. It is equipped with an ion shield, an antimatter engine, an artificial intelligence system, and various types of cannons and missiles.
  • Tanks: Tanks are armored vehicles that can travel on land and fly in the air. Han Yu’s tank is called the Kirin Tank, and it is one of the most advanced tanks in the Federation. The Kirin Tank has a length of 12 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 3 meters. It can carry up to four crew members and two passengers. It is equipped with an ion shield, an electric engine, an artificial intelligence system, and various types of guns and bombs.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that aims to create machines and systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and decision making. Han Yu’s artificial intelligence is called Wang Shu, and it is one of the most intelligent artificial intelligence in the Federation. Wang Shu can control the West River Star Destroyer and the Kirin Tank, as well as provide Han Yu with various information and assistance. Wang Shu can also communicate with Han Yu using natural language and emotion.

What is a Cultivation Civilization?

A cultivation civilization is a civilization that uses spiritual energy and martial arts to enhance and transcend their physical and mental abilities. A cultivation civilization usually has a low degree of industrialization, urbanization, and globalization. A cultivation civilization also has access to various forms of magic, alchemy, and teleportation.

One way to measure the level of a cultivation civilization is by using the cultivation realm system. The cultivation realm system is a common framework that classifies cultivators based on their spiritual energy and martial arts.

According to the cultivation realm system, there are nine major cultivation realms:

  • Qi Condensation: The first realm of cultivation, where cultivators can gather and store spiritual energy in their bodies.
  • Foundation Establishment: The second realm of cultivation, where cultivators can form a solid foundation for their spiritual energy and martial arts.
  • Core Formation: The third realm of cultivation, where cultivators can form a golden core in their bodies that contains their essence and power.
  • Nascent Soul: The fourth realm of cultivation, where cultivators can form a nascent soul in their bodies that contains their consciousness and will.
  • Spirit Severing: The fifth realm of cultivation, where cultivators can sever their attachments and limitations and reach a higher level of enlightenment.
  • Dao Seeking: The sixth realm of cultivation, where cultivators can seek their own dao or path and comprehend the laws of nature.
  • Immortal Ascension: The seventh realm of cultivation, where cultivators can ascend to the immortal realm and become immortal beings.
  • Ancient Immortal: The eighth realm of cultivation, where cultivators can reach the peak of the immortal realm and become ancient immortals.
  • Eternal Immortal: The ninth realm of cultivation, where cultivators can transcend the immortal realm and become eternal immortals.

The novel’s antagonist, Nan Gong Xiao, belongs to a level 6 cultivation civilization, which is considered to be a high-level cultivation civilization. A level 6 cultivation civilization can manipulate the spiritual energy and martial arts of the six realms, from Qi Condensation to Dao Seeking. A level 6 cultivation civilization can also travel across the mortal world, create artificial spaces, and perform spatial attacks.

Some of the features of a level 6 cultivation civilization are:
  • Flying Swords: Flying swords are magical weapons that can fly in the air and carry various spells and formations. Nan Gong Xiao’s flying sword is called the Purple Cloud Sword, and it is one of the most powerful flying swords in the Nan Gong Family. The Purple Cloud Sword has a length of 1 meter, a width of 0.1 meter, and a thickness of 0.01 meter. It can carry up to one person and two talismans. It is equipped with a purple cloud formation, an immortal essence core, and various types of sword qi and sword light.
  • Talismans: Talismans are magical items that can store and release various effects and functions. Nan Gong Xiao’s talismans are called the Fu Lu Talismans, and they are one of the most advanced talismans in the Nan Gong Family. The Fu Lu Talismans have a length of 0.1 meter, a width of 0.1 meter, and a thickness of 0.001 meter. They can carry up to one spell or formation each. They are equipped with various types of fireballs, earth walls, lightning bolts, etc.
  • Spiritual Sense: Spiritual sense is a branch of mental power that aims to create and perceive things that normally require physical senses, such as sight, hearing, and touch. Nan Gong Xiao’s spiritual sense is called the Purple Cloud Sense, and it is one of the most powerful spiritual senses in the Nan Gong Family. The Purple Cloud Sense can control the Purple Cloud Sword and the Fu Lu Talismans, as well as provide Nan Gong Xiao with various information and assistance. The Purple Cloud Sense can also communicate with Nan Gong Xiao using telepathy and emotion.

How Do They Meet?

The novel’s plot begins when Han Yu’s West River Star Destroyer encounters a black hole while performing a mission in the galaxy. The black hole sucks in the starship and sends it to another dimension. Han Yu wakes up to find himself on an unknown planet with no signs of life.

Han Yu decides to explore the planet using his Kirin Tank and his artificial intelligence Wang Shu. He hopes to find some clues about his location and situation. He also hopes to find some resources to repair his damaged starship.

Meanwhile, Nan Gong Xiao’s daughter Nan Gong Zi Yi leads a team of The next moment, Nan Gong Xiao’s purple cloud sense detected a huge surge of energy from the tank’s main cannon. He barely had time to react before a bright beam of plasma shot out and hit his purple cloud shield.

The impact was so powerful that it sent him flying backwards, leaving a trail of smoke and sparks behind him. He felt a sharp pain in his chest, as if his golden core was about to burst.

He looked down and saw a large hole in his shield, exposing his robes and flesh. He could smell his own blood and burnt skin. He couldn’t believe what he saw. How could a mere metal box have such a terrifying weapon?

He quickly took out a healing pill and swallowed it, hoping to recover some of his strength. He knew he had underestimated his opponent, and he had paid a heavy price for it.

He looked up and saw the tank moving towards him, ready to finish him off. He gritted his teeth and clenched his sword. He was the patriarch of the Nan Gong Family, one of the most powerful families in the Jingzhou region. He was a peak Dao Seeking cultivator, only one step away from becoming an immortal. He had faced countless dangers and enemies in his life, and he had always prevailed.

He gathered all his remaining spiritual energy and infused it into his sword. He unleashed his most powerful sword technique, the Purple Cloud Slash. He aimed at the tank’s main cannon, hoping to destroy it before it could fire again.

The purple cloud sword qi flew out like a crescent moon, cutting through the air with a sharp sound. It collided with the plasma beam, creating a huge explosion that lit up the night sky.

The shockwave was so strong that it shattered the windows of nearby buildings and uprooted trees and rocks. The ground trembled and cracked, forming deep fissures.

Han Yu felt the impact inside the tank. He saw the sword qi coming at him, but he didn’t flinch. He fired his main cannon without hesitation, knowing that it was his only chance to survive.

He trusted Wang Shu’s analysis and judgment. Wang Shu had told him that Nan Gong Xiao was a powerful cultivator who could manipulate space and time. If he let him get close, he would be doomed.

He also trusted his own instincts and experience. He was a starship captain from a level 9 technological civilization. He had traveled across the multiverse and fought against various enemies and threats. He had seen things that Nan Gong Xiao couldn’t even imagine.

He knew that technology was not inferior to cultivation. It was just a different way of understanding and manipulating the natural world. He knew that his tank was not just a metal box. It was a masterpiece of engineering and science.

He watched as the plasma beam met the sword qi, creating a dazzling spectacle of light and sound. He felt a surge of adrenaline and excitement. He knew that this was the moment of truth.

The outcome of this clash would determine his fate.

Would he be able to defeat Nan Gong Xiao and escape from this strange planet?

Or would he be killed by Nan Gong Xiao and die alone in this unknown world?

Top 20 Highest-Rated Games from 2015 to 2022

Hello everyone, I’m going to rank the top 20 highest-rated games from 2015 to 2022. The ranking is based on the Metacritic score, with the user score as a secondary factor. If you have played all of these 20 games, then you are a true master gamer. Without further ado, let’s get started.

20. Forza Horizon 3

This is the first game in the series that supports PC platform, and it introduced more players to the franchise. Microsoft also established the series as one of the best racing games in the market with Forza Horizon 3. The most competitive feature of this game is that it brought the online road trip mode from the previous game to offline. Players can freely drive around as soon as they enter the game. And of course, the most important thing is that Forza Horizon 3 has stunning graphics that crushes its competitors. Even if Need for Speed had better driving mechanics than Forza Horizon 5, players would still choose Forza for its amazing visuals and free gameplay.

  • Forza Horizon 3
  • Metacritic score: 91
  • User score: 8.1

19. Crusader Kings III

This is the only strategy game in this video, and also the most unique one among Paradox Interactive’s four grand strategy games. The biggest feature of this game is that it lets players understand what medieval darkness and evil really mean through its game mechanics. Players can not only learn about that period of history, but also have fun with various random events that are hilarious and outrageous. I can’t say too much about this game, because I got into trouble last time when I recommended Hearts of Iron IV. You just need to know that this is one of Paradox’s top strategy games.

  • Crusader Kings III
  • Metacritic score: 91
  • User score: 8.3

18. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

This is the Game of the Year winner at The Game Awards 2019, and it also had a resurgence in popularity this year in the streaming community. You can see how strong this game’s vitality is. The biggest feature of this game is the posture system that forces players to face the bosses head-on. You have to learn their moves and counter them to win. That’s why Sekiro’s combat gameplay is unique and different from other souls-like games. This also makes many people think that Sekiro is a very difficult game, but it’s actually similar to other souls-like games in essence: hard until you learn, easy once you master. I recently replayed this game after three years, and I finished the Shura ending in four hours and 33 minutes, and the Immortal Severance ending in six hours and 20 minutes. Because I haven’t played for a long time, I was rusty and got killed by Genichiro a few times. So Sekiro might be hard at first, but it gets more addictive as you play. The game has no dull moments throughout.

  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
  • Metacritic score: 91
  • User score: 9

17. Demon’s Souls Remake

Although Demon’s Souls is an old game from many years ago, the remake for PS5 made many players experience the pure souls flavor again. The game didn’t change much in terms of game mechanics and difficulty level from the original version. The first thing that impressed players was the top-notch next-gen graphics that fully utilized PS5’s controller features. The operation feel and details were greatly improved, and the sound effects were also remade. This made players more motivated to explore this game’s charm. So Demon’s Souls Remake is not just a simple upgrade of graphics, it’s like turning an old classic movie into a new blockbuster with better costumes, makeup and editing, while keeping the original cast intact. Naturally, it received very high scores.

  • Demon’s Souls Remake
  • Metacritic score: 92
  • User score: 8

16. Forza Horizon 5

15. Forza Horizon 4

Many players might be surprised to see Forza Horizon again on this list. To explain it to those who don’t play racing games, Forza Horizon is like GTA in the racing genre. Forza Horizon 4 is the most representative game in the series, and also where many gamers’ dreams begin. The opening animation alone was enough to amaze everyone, and it even won a D.I.C.E award for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition . Many players didn’t want to enter the game just to watch the intro over and over again. The intro also hinted at one of the game’s features: the four seasons change. You can drive your favorite Senna through the four seasons of Britain. When you enter the game, you are immersed in the carnival atmosphere with a one-shot take and seamless transition of the four seasons. Except for driving on the left side of the road, which might be a bit uncomfortable for some people, Forza Horizon 4 is the ultimate game in the series.

If Forza Horizon 4 gives you a comfortable and casual feeling, then Forza Horizon 5 is more about rally and off-road. The game is set in Mexico, and because of the tropical climate, it canceled the four seasons change from the previous game, but added more terrains such as mountains, jungles, deserts and beaches. Therefore, this game focuses on sandstorms and hurricanes that can bring a lot of shock to players. The game’s graphics also reached the industry’s top level, and the photos taken at the highest quality settings are almost indistinguishable from reality. Of course, this requires your computer to have a very high configuration. It’s worth mentioning that Forza Horizon 5 added Chinese dubbing, which is completely professional-level, and you don’t have to look at subtitles to drive freely.

  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Metacritic score: 92
  • User score: 8.2
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Metacritic score: 92
  • User score: 8.3

14. Bloodborne

Bloodborne made some very distinct innovations compared to the Dark Souls series. It added a mechanic that allows players to regain health by attacking immediately after being injured, and combined it with blood bullets and gun parry design. This game encourages players to be more aggressive, but at the same time, it also makes the death penalty more severe. The blood echoes that you drop when you die might be picked up by nearby enemies, and you have to kill them to get them back. This game also has the most satisfying combat feel among all souls-like games. It’s worth mentioning that Miyazaki considered that players might have nothing to do after finishing the game, so he designed the Chalice Dungeons. Every time players use a chalice to open a different dungeon entrance, the entire dungeon map will be randomly generated with various traps, monsters and rewards. This allows hardcore players to have something to do after finishing the game. In short, Bloodborne is a successful innovation by Miyazaki in the souls-like genre.

  • Bloodborne
  • Metacritic score: 92
  • User score: 9

13. Persona 5

As we all know, Persona 5 is the best in the world. Compared to many Western developers who pursue extreme material details, Persona 5 focuses on artistic style expression. Coupled with the wonderful performance of Japan’s top musician Meguro Shoji, Persona 5 can bring an unparalleled audiovisual feast to players. This is the biggest charm of this game. With its first-class comic production level, any anime fan can feel a strong resonance. Especially every time you watch the game’s intro, even if you have seen it dozens of times, you still don’t want to skip it. Finally, let’s talk about the game’s turn-based gameplay. Personally, I think the gameplay itself doesn’t have much innovation, and the most satisfying part of combat is still the final move animation. From this perspective, Persona 5 is indeed the best in the world.

  • Persona 5
  • Metacritic score: 93
  • User score: 8.7

12. Resident Evil 2 Remake

This game redefined what remake means. Except for the game name and characters, everything inside and outside of this game is new. The core content of this game consists of three parts: combat, exploration and puzzle solving. The most outstanding part is that it achieves a dynamic balance of resource management. When you have abundant resources, monsters will be more aggressive; when you are low on resources, there will be more supplies on the map and monsters will be easier to kill. This design allows players to enjoy a tense and thrilling experience throughout.

  • Resident Evil 2 Remake
  • Metacritic score: 93
  • User score: 8.8

11. Divinity: Original Sin II

For those who are not familiar with this game, they might think of an online game when they see its graphics. In fact, Divinity: Original Sin II is a traditional CRPG (computer role-playing game), and it’s one of the best RPG games ever made. The game has a very high degree of freedom. Besides choosing from a lot of races and classes when creating your character, you can also choose different branches for your quests. The game world also allows you to do whatever you want. You can talk to any NPC in the game, even a chicken; and you can also kill all NPCs if you want to.

Conclusion

That’s all for the first half of the blog post. I hope you are curious about the rest of the ranking, and which game will be the number one. Please stay tuned for the second half of the blog post, which will be coming soon.
